Samini launches personalized mobile application


Award winning musician Samini has launched his personalized e-commerce mobile application at a press event hosted by the World Bank Ghana Office Friday.

The mobile application which features Samini's biography, an e-commerce platform where fans and patrons of his music can purchase his music, paraphernalia amongst others is to afford Fans and Patrons 24 hour exclusive access to the Samini brand and work.

Other tabs on the app allow fans to download and listen to Samini's music, videos amongst other things.

According to Samini “Fans and patrons will have access to his social media accounts which includes, twitter, facebook and others. And get an instant push notification on all upcoming shows, social media updates amongst others. The app will be available for download for Android phones for now, comments and criticisms will be used to perfect that of the ios and symbian platforms to be released next two weeks.”

The mobile application is to ensure exclusivity for Samini's brand and distribution of music and marks a new dimension for Musicians, music lovers and the creative arts industry in Ghana.

There will be later updates and reviews with addition of more tabs with subsequent launches.

Samini called on fans and patrons of his music to download and use the app and offer the needed review to make it better, while calling on Corporate Ghana to use a medium provided on the app to advertise and reach more clients of the Samini brand.

Kafu Kofi Tsikata, the Senior Communications Specialist at the World Bank Ghana Office and an ardent supporter of the creative arts praised Samini for taking Ghanaian music far and asked all the media houses present to promote the app.

Amongst the various corporate organizations present were personalities such as Mr. John Armah, Executive Director, Ghana Center for Entrepreneurship, Employment and Innovation, along with Nana Asamoah, Executive Director of CellAfrique.net the company that developed the mobile application.

Samini thanked the media for their cooperation and presence, and admonished the media to spread the message to the world that Ghana is showing the way in the creative arts industry.
