WINNERS OF KUMAWOOD AKOBEN FILM FESTIVAL AND PHOTOS

The annual and fourth edition of Kumawood and Akoben Film Festival was successfully held on Sunday 28th December 2014 at the Round Pavilion inside Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi. The event is to award deserving personalities in the local movie industry.

The show mastered by Captain Smart of Adom FM and Nana Yaa Brefo of Adom TV was well attended by Ghanaians and famous people like Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, Bill Asamoah, Bandex, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Rahim Banda, Christiana Awuni and others. The event also saw performances from Gospel musician Jak Alolome and “Alkaeda” hitmaker Guru, and Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin.

Unlike previous editions, the event started on time. Lack of enough chairs due to the high number of audience who attended the events made people stand outside till the organizers brought in more chairs.
Speaking on Nhyira fm with morning show host Adunaba Kofi Asante, a rep from Multi Tv advised that the host of the event thus, Mr Sam Darko made available more hands to help him in the organizing of the show come next edition. He also said, it’s high time; Kumasi gets a venue for hosting such events which receives more audience from all parts of Ghana to boost event organizing in Kumasi.
